The advantage of consulting a dermatologist in private

More than any other health professional, the dermatologist remains the undisputed specialist of the skin and the physiological phenomena associated with skin aging. Whether it’s to improve the appearance of your skin, get advice on a safe rejuvenation treatment or simply to correct certain imperfections, the dermatologist is better placed than anyone to accurately determine the problem and guide the therapy accordingly.

Hyperhidrosis is a disorder that causes greater sweating than that required to regulate body temperature. The cause is unknown and hyperhidrosis can affect several areas of the body, such as the armpits, feet, hands and / or face. Other factors such as diabetes, menopause or certain medications can also cause hypersudation. Your doctor must perform a complete examination in order to make a diagnosis.

Hyperhidrosis is not dangerous to health, but it greatly compromises the quality of life. Hyperhidrosis is easy to treat. Focal injections of Botox® are an effective solution for excessive sweating. Botox® is considered safe and effective when used by a physician with specialized training.

Many health insurance companies offer a plan that covers treatment costs for hyperhidrosis. Ask your insurer.
